In our Virtual Online Academy (VIONA®), we offer a wide range of continuing education programmes for job seekers, working professionals and companies, on both a full-time and part-time basis. VIONA® is an innovative training system developed by the Institut für Berufliche Bildung (IBB). This successful software solution was developed by vitero GmbH. It offers simple and intuitive operation that works even without special computer experience.
In these virtual seminars, you take part together with other participants just as you would in an on-site seminar. Both the instructor and the participants have their (virtual) seat in the classroom. You talk to one another via a headset, which every participant receives. So that the voice in the virtual room also gets a face, there is the option of uploading a small picture of yourself, which then appears together with your name. For communication there are small symbols you can click on (e.g. to raise your hand or to agree) as well as a text chat function. In addition, there is a board as well as various learning materials and methods. The instructor hands out documents, moderates discussions, questions can be asked, and work results can be presented and worked on together through application sharing. Alongside the main room, there are also breakout rooms (e.g. for group work). The learning materials are made available on a separate learning platform. This way, the knowledge conveyed can be well reviewed and deepened. Textbooks or other media required for your continuing education are provided to you for the duration of your continuing education with us.
The only difference from an ordinary seminar is simply that here with us, at Lernimpuls in Witten, you sit at a PC learning station equipped in accordance with your continuing education programme, while your instructor and fellow students take part somewhere else in Germany, from a different VIONA® location. Thanks to the various teaching and learning methods, VIONA® is a form of instruction on a par with classroom teaching. The forms of instruction consist of knowledge transfer, knowledge deepening and consultations, which are coordinated with one another. The learning concept of VIONA® is designed so that everyone has the opportunity to deepen what they have learned at their own pace. A nice side effect of the VIONA® continuing education courses is, moreover, that regular use of this medium builds up your competence in dealing with digital media.
The location independence of the VIONA® continuing education courses offers an immense advantage, because it means the minimum number of participants for a course is reached much more quickly and the course you want almost always takes place. Since there are regular starting rhythms, long waiting times are even eliminated. Whereas in location-bound seminars less frequently requested continuing education courses (niche products) are hardly ever held, the chances of them taking place via VIONA® are likewise many times higher, because after all, interested people from all over Germany come together much faster than on a regional level.
