„You want to get involved, we help you“

The programme begins with an introductory getting-to-know-you session for the participants and the supervisors, along with a presentation of the schedule. In the first module (5 days), workshops and seminars on various relevant topics are offered, including leisure opportunities, motivation, youth protection, rights and responsibilities, as well as hygiene. This is followed by a first-aid course to prepare the participants for emergency situations.

In a practical project phase (3 days), the participants work in teams and develop their own projects, which they carry out with children and young people in the association's rooms. Topics such as an international cooking course, a reading club or waste separation can be addressed.

The second module (5 days) covers more advanced topics such as intercultural and interreligious competence as well as emergency management. The aim is to give the participants the necessary tools to contribute confidently and actively to social processes and to motivate others to become active as well.

Another goal of the project is to turn the participants into multipliers and mentors who pass on their knowledge and experience. In addition, the participants are encouraged to apply for a youth leader card (Jugendleiterkarte), which officially recognises their commitment and enables them to apply their acquired skills in a wide range of areas. This commitment is intended to have a long-term effect on society and to promote sustainable, positive change.
