„Through the Homepage into the Digital Age“

The project „Through the Homepage into the Digital Age“ was launched to sustainably strengthen the digital skills of 10 participants and to provide them with the necessary knowledge to create a website independently. The goal was not only to convey technical knowledge to the participants, but also to familiarise them with the various aspects of the digital world. Under the guidance of media educators and web developers, they were taught basic knowledge in the areas of web design, HTML & CSS, content management systems (e.g. WordPress), search engine optimisation (SEO) and data protection in practice-oriented workshops. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all workshops had to be conducted digitally. Despite the restrictions imposed by the hygiene measures, a flexible and interactive learning environment could thus be created. We are proud that the project „Through the Homepage into the Digital Age“ was received so positively and that the participants leave it with new skills and enthusiasm. Due to its success, we would like to continue the project in the future as well and offer further interested individuals the opportunity to develop their digital skills.
