„My NRW, Helping Shape the Future 2.0“ A Project on Child and Youth Participation
In many planning processes that shape the future lives of young people, their ideas and perspectives often go unconsidered. This lack of involvement causes young people's motivation to actively help shape things to fade. To counteract this problem and foster the creative potential of young people, we as Lernimpuls Witten e.V. launched the youth project “My NRW, Shaping the Future 2.0”.
With this youth project, we gave sixteen young people between the ages of 14 and 21 the opportunity to contribute their ideas and visions for shaping their future in North Rhine-Westphalia. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the young people worked on producing videos that reflect their perspectives on the state of NRW. The young people worked on their projects with great enthusiasm and were proud of their creative results.
The media project builds on the experiences and positive feedback from 2022. The experiences from the previous year served as inspiration for revising the concept in order to involve even more young people and to expand the project to new areas in North Rhine-Westphalia.
